NB : This is my first design for CFS2,so... bear with me !

_______________

This model represents a Mosquito NFII (Intruder). These were standard NFII's, stripped of their radar and used for intruding missions over occupied Europe. At that time, airborne radar was still considered as highly sensitive equipments, and the RAF did not want to risk them over enemy territory.
More specifically, a batch of such modified NFII's was delivered to Squadron 23 at the end of 1942 before its deployment in Malta. APart from the removal of radar equipment, the Squadron had choosen to have an extra 120 Imperial gallons fuel tank installed in the bomb bay, rather than the ability to carry bombs.
Textures represent DZ230 - YP-A flown by Wing Commander G. Wykeham-Barnes, as shown on some pictures over Valetta harbour taken shortly after the squadron's arrival.

VERSION 2.0 - 26/04/2004 :
------------------------

- Added pilot and navigator to the model (Based on german pilot from CFS3 SDK...), no more need for "British pilot".
- Some improvements on textures
- Landing lights now deploy with landing gear
- 2/3 corrections on textures
- Added LOD10 to the AI aircraft
- Sound Pack, assembled from elements of various freeware origin
- And finally, Ladies and Gentlemen...SHINING model, thanks DBOLT for your outstanding work !
______________
Model Features
--------------

This pack contains 2 models :
1) Flyable ("BSK_MosquitoNFII")
100% Gmax model. Very detailed, I'm rather proud of the landing gear. The exterior model has 35297 polys...
No multires on this one, the AI has it.
Virtual 3D Cockpit.
Animations :
- rudder, flaps, ailerons,
- Bomb bay doors ("spoiler" key)
- Landing gear with rotating wheels
- Landing lights ("canopy" key)
- Cockpit hatch ("wingfold" key)
Airfile, dp file and aircraft.cfg
Extra bomb bay tank, available in the loadouts.
2) AI only ("BSK_MosquitoNFII_AI")
The same, but simplified in particular in terms of animations. 2 resolutions, should help with FPS.

____________

Installation
------------

- Just unzip "BSK_MosquitoNFII.zip" into your Combat Flight Simulator 2 folder. Normally, everything will end up in the right place...
- By default, sound is aliased to the stock P38. But Merlin sound packs abound on the web...
____________
Crédits
------------
- The 2D Panel is based on Gryphon Aviation "Mosquito PAck" (http://www.simviation.com/gryphon/cfs2/aircraft.htm), rearranged to get closer to my 3D VC.
- The included gauges are either from Gryphon Aviation (GA_XXX), or for others of unknown origin, but as far as my knowledge is concerned aer freeware.

_______
Problem
-------

- For some mysterious reason, the main flyable model stubbornly refuses to be piloted by a computer (as an "AI" aircraft). As is, it can only be used in free flight or in missions as far as it is the player aircraft and the group has only one plane... This is why I included an "AI" version, which behaves well as an AI aircraft.
If I ever find the reason for this, this will be version 2.0
Any suggestion will be welcome !

______
Help !
------

I do not claim, by far, to have fulfilled all my ambitions for this model. Textures, particularly, would certainly need to be improved. If anybody is interested, I'd be more than happy to supply the PSP source files. Same for the dp and airfile, suggestions are welcome !

______
Thanks
------

More than one year just for my first design ! And I would never have finished it without the help and friendly support of many people :
- Paul Rebuffat, who, on top of being at the origin of my designer's ambitions thanks to the pleasure I took with his magnificient Spitfires, has always been available fast, friendly and efficiently when I was in trouble !
- Pascal Auterive, my second "design guru"
- The all team at CFSFrance, those who could not help me technically have always been very supportive.
- And many people over at Netwings, Sim Outhouse...
- And my wife, for her patience (generally...)

This is freeware. I will not be responsible for all the tragedies suffered by your PC after installing it. And please, just show a little respect : You may re-upload it wherever you want, but don't forget to include this "readme" file !

HAVE FUN !
